The Royal William is situated on the outskirts of Cranham Village on the Cheltenham Road (A46) between Brockworth and Painswick. Once a Brewers Fayre, it is now a privately owned business offering a wide selection of Fresh home cooked food and Daily Specials. It sources most of its ingredients from Local Suppliers such as Frocester Fayre Farm, Cam Butchers and Winstones Ice Cream.

Steaks are available on the "Hot Rock Menu" which offers a unique dining experience of seared steaks cooking on a hot rock with no fat or oils used. Choices include Rump, Sirloin or Fillet of Beef, Minted Lamb, Swordfish, Tuna Steak, Halloumi Skewers or maybe you fancy a combo Reef & Beef.

Food is now served all day, every day from 12.00 until 9.00 pm. A wide choice of dishes are on offer including a Junior menu, Lighter Options for those with smaller appetites, Salads, Sandwiches, Jackets, Vegetarian selections and all finished off with a home-made Desserts or a freshly ground Coffee.

Approximately £250,000 has been invested in developing the Royal William but care has been taken not to spoil it's original features such as Open Log fireplaces, Slate floor and Cotswold Stone Walls. All carefully refurbished to retain the character of which the business was once renowned. 

 Real Ales have been re-introduced and at least one local Ale should be available to sample plus a couple of other Award winning Ales. The Cask Marque Accreditation is a Nationally recognised and indicates the assurance of quality in presentation and service of Cask Ales. The Wine list has also been developed with a good selection of grape varieties on offer to compliment  your dining experience or to enjoy relaxing on a sofa by the fire.

The Garden and patio areas have also seen some improvements with a patio added to the garden and a new decking and seating area constructed by the side entrance and furnished with new seating. Future development is ongoing with plans already in place for landscaping the garden.

In addition to refurbishing the Main Bar and Restaurant, the Cranham Suite has also seen somewhat of a minor tranformation. Bookings are now being taken for private functions and Live Music events are being planned for the coming months. Watch this space.
